Adiona ditches baby minding

It appears former M-Net East Africa Idols finalist Adiona Maboreke-Chidzonga has finally hired a baby minder and has returned to the microphone.
The soul musician had shelved her music career as she concentrated on taking care of her second baby with filmmaker hubby Munya Chidzonga.
In an exclusive interview with Showbiz Adiona said her latest project is titled Million and motherhood had taken much of her time.
“I was silent because I was focusing on being a wife and mother. I take bonding with my boys seriously,” said Adiona.
She revealed that the single Million was written by her brother Oliver Maboreke aka 0-25.
The track was produced by Reverb 7 and recorded at MFD studios by Tami Bimha.
A great song writer herself, Adiona conceded she could not resist her brother s Midas touch.
“I have written all of my songs but when I saw my brother’s writing I immediately fell in love with it and decided to record,” she said.
Adiona has already shot a video for the single, a feat that proved easy owing to her hubby Munya a filmmaker.
“As I speak Munya is busy editing the video,” she said.
Adiona is one of the best contemporary voices in the country and has performed at the Harare International Festival of the Arts and done collaborations with top artistes like Nigerian funky jazz guitarist Kunle Ayo.
She is also a strong advocate for anti-gender based violence and uses her music to champion women rights empowerment as evidenced in her song titled I’m all woman recorded in 2013.
Adiona said her husband Munya complements her art and the celebrity power couple is blessed with two children.
