A 34-year-old pastor from the Apostolic Faith Mission of Zimbabwe (AFM) has been sentenced to 30 months in prison after being convicted of incest.
According to court proceedings, the clergyman engaged in an illicit sexual relationship with his stepdaughter between 2022 and 2024. The victim, now 18, was left in his care by her mother, and the abuse allegedly started in 2022.
Reports indicate that their first encounter took place in his bedroom while watching videos. Over time, the abuse continued, ultimately leading to a pregnancy in 2023, which the pastor later arranged to be terminated.
Authorities launched an investigation after receiving a tip-off, leading to the pastor’s arrest and subsequent conviction.

Meanwhile, police are on the hunt for a 31-year-old Highfield man, Vision Makichi, who is accused of raping his 16-year-old maid.
According to police reports, Makichi returned home from work one afternoon while his wife was away and found the teenage maid asleep. He allegedly entered her room and sexually assaulted her.
After the incident, he reportedly begged her not to expose him, promising to do anything for her if she kept silent. However, the victim confided in her aunt, who facilitated medical examinations at the Family Support Clinic at Sally Mugabe Hospital.
Harare provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, confirmed the case and urged the public to provide any information that could assist in Makichi’s arrest.
