In an interview with Showbiz, Donie Nikisi, the promoter, said they are expecting large turnouts at both events.

“It has been a while since Macheso last performed in Durban. He is going to light up the city as a whole. Macheso has got his large following worldwide, we chose Bellhaven Centre, a 1500-seater hall to host our Durban gig, therefore, we urge all fans and Zimbabweans to come and support him on this day.”

The J’burg-based Promoter said that he is currently in Durban putting everything in place as preparations are at an advanced stage.

“We are already in Durban trying to put everything in place to receive ‘Cheso Power’ and his band. Preparations are at an advanced stage and we are expecting Macheso to set it ablaze. We have arranged tight security, full bar and catering for our gigs,” said Nikisi.

Nikisi who is also the Boksburg Ekhuruleni Hotel Manager said that the Orchestra Mberikwazvo frontman will on Saturday 30 shutdown his tour at the Boksburg hotel, a venue which has become Macheso’s home as he always performs for a full house.
