Alick Macheso Snubs Chitungwiza Aquatic Complex Too Small For Fans

The Aquatic Complex in Chitungwiza is now too small for Sungura music legend Alick Macheso to launch his upcoming album in August. Therefore, the album launch will be held at Alex Sports Club.

During his 56th birthday celebrations at Jongwe Corner on Sunday, Alick Macheso explained his choice of Alex Sports Club for the launch, saying that the Chitungwiza Aquatic Complex is no longer adequate for his admirers.

Macheso explained that the decision to move the launch venue was due to the limitations of the Aquatic Complex in Chitungwiza.

“My fan base is expanding, and the Chitungwiza venue is now too small for them. Last time, many fans were turned away because of space issues. Choosing Alex Sports Club was a wise decision, as it provides more space and better access for everyone,” he said.

He added that they decided to reschedule the launch because of the frigid weather.

“We didn’t want the frigid weather to ruin the celebration. It was not a smart idea to go against the weather because Alex Sports Club is an open area,” he continued.

In another story, Renowned gospel musician Joseph Tivafire is warming up to release and launch his eleventh album, Takachengetwa, this Saturday in Harare.

The Mushandiriwashe founding couple told this publication during a pre-launch interview that all is set for the grand launch which will also see several artists coming on board to support the event.

“We will be launching this ten-track album on Saturday while supported by several gospel artists, though the launch will also feature some fellow musicians from other genres,” Pastor Joseph Tivafire said.
