Music vixen Ammara Brown is among a strong line up which includes T Gonzi, Takura, DJ Fydale and the host of the Afternoon Chillout Show DJ Crocx at Club Xcite car park in Gweru on Saturday 14 September.
“As the host and event promoter as well as a performing artist we have artists from Gweru and MSU as supporting acts and they get a chance to share the stage with bigger artists not to mention Takura is from Gweru and Travellers band, Footprints as well household names on the DJ list thus they have bigger names to look up to as well as have a platform to showcase their talents.” Said DJ Crox also known as Simbarashe Chingwena.
“The show starts at 2pm stretching to dusk. Our main aim is to have most activities done with in the afternoon and having artists perform a little later.” He added.
Gweru unlike other cities has fewer events that occur throughout the year so DJ Crocx’s concept came from the idea of bringing people together diverting them from their busy demanding lives creating an environment that allows them to loosen up hence a wide variety of entertainment and activities to help them refresh their minds.
“We also have a platform for cooperates to showcase their brands as the event attracts quite a number of people,” he said.
With the line up of giants on the list, it is a show not to be missed.
“We hope our vision grows big enough to even attract international acts and promote the upcoming ones as well as increase traffic in order to boost the city businesses”, concluded DJ Crocx.
