The Maastricht University NL-High Potential Scholarship provides 21 full scholarships worth €30,000 annually. These scholarships cover tuition fee waivers and a monthly stipend, and they are specifically designed for exceptionally talented students from non-EU/EEA countries who have secured admission to a Master’s program at UM.

Scholarship Benefits:
Recipients will receive funding to cover the following expenses:
- Living costs: €15,925 for a 13-month program or €30,625 for a 25-month program
- Health and liability insurance: €700
- Visa application fees: Fully covered
- Tuition fees: Fully waived
- Pre-academic training costs: Covered
The scholarship duration aligns with the length of the Master’s program: 13 months for one-year programs and 25 months for two-year programs.

Eligibility Criteria:
To qualify, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be a national of a country outside the EU/EEA, Switzerland, or Suriname and meet the conditions for obtaining a Dutch visa and residence permit.
- Not hold dual nationality from an EU/EEA country.
- Have applied for a full-time Master’s program at Maastricht University for the 2025-2026 academic year.
- Satisfy the specific admission criteria for the chosen Master’s program.
- Have not previously pursued primary, secondary, or higher education leading to a degree in the Netherlands (participation in exchange programs is permitted).
- Be under the age of 35 as of 1 September 2025.
- Show academic excellence, demonstrated by a GPA of 7.5 out of 10 or higher in prior studies.
- Submit a complete application package, as no additional documents can be added after submission.
Application Process:
To apply for this scholarship:
- Register for one of the eligible Master’s programs at Maastricht University via Studielink.
- After registering, you will receive a student ID number, which is required to complete the scholarship application form.
- Log in using your UM account, complete the scholarship application form, upload the necessary documents, and submit your application online.
Deadline: Applications must be submitted by 1 February 2025, 23:59 CET.
