Bangure joins Devine Assignments

Veteran arts manager Mathias Bangure has joined Devine Assignments as the new manager for one of their outlet City Sports Bar.
Bangure who is former boss for Music Crossroads Zimbabwe replaces Yasin Dlala who returns to Jazz 105 now running under a new name Jazz 24/4 where he is set to battle to douse fire ignited by his former boss Josh Hozheri over unauthorised name use.
Speaking to showbiz just after his appointment on Monday, Bangure said he was glad to be joining a progressive arts movement that Devine Assignments is.
“It is a very well appreciated honour to be part of this family. My coming in gives me an easier task, complimenting the efforts of my predecessor,” said Bangure.
“In that wake bringing in new energy, vibrant programing, additional concepts and make City Sports Bar the place one drools to make a date with and sample the colossal of activities taking place there. I guess people just have to watch this space.”
Bangure’s successes include taking Mokoomba; one of the most successful local outfits and Bongo Love onto the international scene and has also managed Skyy Music and Culture in Berlin, Germany.
Together with business partner Cosmas Zamangwe, Bangure is responsible for one of Harare’s first upmarket clubs, Willows Nite Spot at MaStones in Highfields and promised that City Sports Bar would maintain its vibrancy and bring in more concepts stemming from his international exposure.
“Coming from a talent search and development background, let us see the higher heights where we can take the participants of the jam session,” he said.
