Big Brother Naija is back!

Big Brother Naija makes a return this Sunday January 22 with DStv showing the reality show on channel 198.
According to a statement from DStv Friday, the program would be shown to viewers on all bouquets starting Sunday.
“DStv customers in Zimbabwe will be able to join in the excitement from this Sunday, as the most anticipated reality show in Africa, Big Brother Naija opens its doors. The show will be screened live, 24/7 on all DStv packages on channel 198 from Sunday, 22 January at 8pm CAT,” reads part of the statement.

“For eleven weeks, we will witness the drama, action, comedy and perhaps a few tears as 12 total strangers get to live together in one house, with only one emerging winner of the grand prize of 25 million naira and a brand new Kia Sorento.”

The statement said the show would be hosted by hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, a former housemate in the Big Brother Nigeria show back in 2006.
The lawyer turned media personality with his infectious laugh and charismatic persona will usher the housemates into the Big Brother Naija house and will take up the task of announcing the evictees week after week.

“Big Brother Naija will run 24/7 on all DStv packages on channel 198 with live eviction shows as well as the best of the live daily and weekly highlights shown on Africa Magic Urban, Africa Magic Showcase and Africa Magic World. So you don’t miss a minute of the action, make sure your subscription to any of the DStv packages is up to date,” said the statement from DStv.

The show will be the second edition in Nigeria after 10 years and will this year have a Nigerian voice and will have PayPorte as the headline sponsor.
For 78 days, the housemates will live in the house with the same rules applying although there will be no shower hour.

The organisers said there would be a two hour televised launch as well as the finale while a number of Nigerian celebrities will visit the house.
