Sunday night’s live episode of Big Brother Naija delivered a whirlwind of surprises, revelations, and evictions, leaving viewers on the edge of their seats as the highly anticipated season 9 finale approaches.
Host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu accurately described the episode as a “rollercoaster of a night” as three housemates were sent packing. Kassia, Topher, and Ocee were the latest to leave Biggie’s house, leaving only eight contestants – Kellyrae, Wanni, Nelly, Onyeka, Victoria, Sooj, and Nelly – in the running for the coveted title of Big Brother Naija champion.
The first eviction came as a shock to many as Kassia, who had been a strong contender throughout the season, was sent home. Her husband, Kellyrae, who had been dominating the house, was safe and guaranteed a spot in the grand finale. After Kassia’s eviction, Kellyrae revealed to his fellow housemates that he and Kassia were married, sparking a range of reactions.
The episode also featured a heartwarming moment between Sooj and Nelly, who declared their fondness for each other. Anita and Topher, on the other hand, were not shy about labeling themselves “lovers,” much to the delight of the studio audience. However, their romantic moment was short-lived as Topher was the next to be evicted.
Ocee, the third housemate to be evicted, expressed his commitment to his partner and revealed that remaining faithful wasn’t difficult for him. Despite the challenges faced by the housemates, they managed to win their fourth wager in a row. However, the week was not without its drama as former housemates Chinwe, Damilola, and Rhuthee were temporarily brought back, causing chaos among the current contestants.
As the finale approaches, Ebuka advised the remaining eight housemates that their actions in the coming week could significantly impact their chances of winning. With the grand prize of N100 million (approximately ) on the line, the competition is heating up.
