The National Federation of Zimbabwe Body-Building and Fitness had their launch yesterday of the Zimbabwe Nationals.
The events took place at Island of Joy in Waterfalls, where various stakeholders gathered for this event.
The Technical Director of NFZBBF, Mr. Givemore Marume, gave details pertaining to when the Zimbabwe National will be done at the event. He said, “The nationals are going to be held on the 23rd of November 2024 at the 7 Arts Theater in Harare,” highlighting how the organization was ready for the launch.
He also highlighted that they were going to change the way they will approach this year’s finals from the previous years. “It is quite obvious that we are going to change how we approach this year’s finals; we are going to make them different from previous years. We are going to unveil our sponsors,” said Marume.
Marume wasted no time by thanking Mr. Chipaz and his organization for partnering with them from the launch going forward.

At this year’s Nationals, we are going to have eight categories; we have downsized the categories such that we produce quality, said Marume.
We are going to have many athletes coming from different parts of Zimbabwe to compete for various disciplines. We have also sat with our main sponsor, Chipaz, and we agreed to bring in foreign judges for us to have exposure to what other countries are doing.
Mr. Marume also highlighted that there will be a team that will be doing accreditation for journalists and their media houses at the event.
Mr. Marume also pleaded for more sponsors, and he outlined the benefits of being a sponsor at an event like this. He said there will be eight categories, and being a sponsor means you will be just sponsoring one category if you want.
The main sponsor, Chipaz Promotions, thanked the organizers of the event for giving them the opportunity to be sponsors. He also explained how they will be assisting on the judges issue. “Chipaz Promotions will be bringing in two judges from South Africa and catering for their accommodation. In addition, Chipaz Promotions will cater for six athletes who are coming from outside Harare, said Chipaz Promotions representative, Mr. Ptrick Chimbodza.
We are going to entertain on the day, as we are known for music. We are going to bring Culture Love, Ndunge Yut, and Fantan.
Mr. Chimbodza also mentioned what the winner is going to get at the finals. “We are going to give the winner USD 3500, but if we get more resources, we will top it up”, said Chipaz.
The National Federation of Zimbabwe Body-Building and Fitness thanked the sponsors for partnering with them for their Nationals, as they lamented that their sport is looked down upon by various people in the society, so getting sponsors means a lot to them.
