Botswana’s involvement, especially considering it is the seat of the SADC Secretariat, gives a powerful boost to our collective efforts,” said Advocate Mudenda.
The signing, conducted by President Boko, holds added weight because Botswana hosts the SADC Secretariat, central to the operations of the Southern African Development Community. This agreement signifies a renewed commitment to the transformation agenda within the region.
Advocate Mudenda received praise for his leadership and tireless dedication to the transformation of the SADC PF. Hon. Dithapelo Lefoko Keorapetse, Speaker of the National Assembly of Botswana, commended Mudenda’s role, acknowledging him as a key driver in advancing regional cooperation and legislative unity.
The event underscored the shared commitment of SADC member states to strengthen regional integration, promote democratic governance, and enhance sustainable development within Southern Africa. The transformation of the SADC PF into a regional parliament aims to further these goals by fostering legislative harmonisation and multilateral cooperation.
