Breaking Barriers and Sunwise Hydro Unite to Transform Chitemere School

In a heartfelt gesture of community support, Breaking Barriers and Sunwise Hydro joined forces to provide vital resources to Chitemere School. The partnership, spearheaded by Breaking Barriers CEO and Director Mrs. Ruvimbo Makoni and Sunwise Hydro CEO Dr. Francis Chiteka, has brought a new borehole to the school and meaningful donations for its annual prize-giving day.

The borehole project, an essential contribution to the school, aims to address the pressing need for clean and accessible water for students and staff. The initiative underscores the shared commitment of both organizations to sustainable development and empowering local communities.

Representing Breaking Barriers were Miss Sheree Middleton, a representative from Australia, alongside Samuel Jimah and Tinotenda Mawaro. Sunwise Hydro was represented by Runyararo Mukamuri. Their collective presence emphasized the global and local collaboration that made this project possible.

During the prize-giving ceremony, students and teachers were not only acknowledged for their hard work but also received gifts donated by the organizations. The donated items symbolized the value placed on education and the importance of recognizing excellence in the classroom.

Speaking at the event, Miss Middleton said, “Education and access to essential resources like clean water are the foundation of a thriving community. Through this partnership, we hope to inspire and uplift Chitemere School and its surrounding community.”

The borehole is expected to significantly improve the daily lives of students, providing clean water for drinking, sanitation, and agricultural projects. Its long-term benefits align with the broader vision of fostering self-reliance and improved living conditions.

The partnership between Breaking Barriers and Sunwise Hydro serves as evidence to the power of collaboration in addressing community challenges. By investing in both infrastructure and education, the two organizations have made a lasting impact on Chitemere School, setting an example for others to follow.
