Updated…Breaking news:Joyce Simeti dies
News reaching us says gospel musician Joyce Simeti has died.
Although details are still sketchy, Simeti is understood to have passed on at Arcadia Medical Centre.
Some reports say Simeti reported for work in Harare in the morning but returned home complaining of a heart problem and later died in the afternoon.
She is famous for tracks like Kudza baba namai.

Popularly known of the hit song Kudza Baba naAmai, Simeti died Tuesday afternoon at Arcadia Medical Centre after having been unwell for some time.
Her daughter, Rejoice Simeti, confirmed the musician’s death and said the family was still in shock.
“She has been unwell and we took her to Arcadia Medical Centre today where she passed on. We cannot believe what has just transpired,” she said.
Born in Mutoko, Simeti released her first album, Tose Takadanwa, in 1999. In 2002, she left her hair dressing career to engage in music on a full-time basis.
By the time of her death, she had released six albums was currently working on a new one, Ndakabuda Pakaoma.
At the time of her death, she had joined Emmanuel Makandiwa’s United Family International Church and was part of the praise and worship team.
Burial arrangements will be announced in due course.
Simeti is survived by her husband Stanley and three children. Mourners are gathered at 27 Ambleside Road, Braeside
