The revelation has thrown a fresh spotlight on the couple’s stalled divorce proceedings and the tense standoff over property and financial demands.
According to TMZ, Cardi claims Offset has refused to sign the divorce papers unless she agrees to hand over one of her properties and pay his outstanding tax bills. She made it clear, however, that she won’t give in to those conditions.
Cardi, who said she gave seven years of her life to the marriage, stressed that it simply did not work out, and she has since moved on. Meanwhile, Offset has publicly discouraged men from getting married even as he delays finalizing their split.
