Chaos Over Zahara’s Estate
Zahara’s sisters are reportedly causing turmoil in the family by raiding her bank accounts and clothes, just a month after her untimely death.
Bandezwa and Lumka, Zahara’s sisters, have allegedly swiftly moved into her home in Lille Falls, Roodepoort, and ransacked her personal belongings, with a particular focus on her wardrobe.
During Zahara’s health struggles, her sisters were accused of using her bank account recklessly for extravagant shopping sprees in Johannesburg. The situation escalated to the point where Zahara’s bank card had to be blocked to prevent further exploitation. A close friend described the sisters as “shopaholics” and revealed that they had been attempting to obtain Zahara’s PIN, which ultimately led to the card being blocked.
The friend stated, “They wanted the PIN, which none of us have. Then, after attempting a few times, the card got blocked. Those two have been doing the unthinkable.”
Even when Zahara was alive, she confronted her sisters about their envy and their desire to replicate her success.
The friend recalled Zahara’s words, “Even when she was alive, Bulelwa would tell them they would never have her life. They have always been jealous of her success and wanted to reach her level, but they couldn’t.”
The controversy surrounding Zahara’s sisters has intensified as reports suggest that they have also raided her wardrobe and started wearing her beloved performance dresses without following customary funeral rites.
According to an insider, cultural traditions dictate that there should be a ceremony where the deceased’s clothes are freely distributed among family and friends, but this has not taken place.
The insider lamented, “Our culture says that after a person dies, we need to have a ceremony where the clothes are given out freely to family and friends. This has not been done. But they have already started wearing her clothes and parading around. Trust me, she is mad wherever she is. Babezwa wore a white dress that Zahara used in her last show before she died. It’s truly heartbreaking. The lies they have been spreading about her fiancĂ©, Mpho, are beyond me.”
In response to the allegations, Zahara’s sister, Bandezwa, defended their actions by saying, “We were just trying them on. What is wrong with that? She is not here anymore.”
