As summer draws to a close, many people are turning their attention to television viewing during the cooler months ahead, DStv gives exciting news.
The focus shifts to the joys of families coming together in the warmth and comfort of their homes to enjoy on-screen entertainment.
For Zimbabwean viewers, the DStv platform offers a wide range of options to enhance family TV viewing. These options come in the form of different bouquets, each tailored to suit various budget capacities and viewing preferences.
Charity Njanji, the Corporate Affairs and Public Relations Head of DStv Zimbabwe, explained the rationale behind offering multiple bouquets rather than a single package.

She acknowledged the diversity of budget capacities and viewing needs within the community, and thus the DStv experience is tailored accordingly.
The platform offers six principal bouquets: Premium, Compact Plus, Compact, Family, Access, and Lite, the latter being exclusive to the Zimbabwean market. Each bouquet provides a diverse selection of channels, offering viewers variety and choice.
Among the bouquets gaining popularity in the Zimbabwean market are DStv Family and DStv Access.
These bouquets are designed to cater to the specific interests, needs, and aspirations of family members, with a focus on providing information, education, and entertainment.
They offer channels suited to various age groups and genders, ensuring a well-rounded viewing experience. Furthermore, each bouquet is priced to offer viewers value for their money.
All DStv platforms consist of a range of television channels, both local and international, as well as audio channels featuring music and radio stations. The audio channels are particularly popular for background music and for those engaged in manual activities while listening.
DStv Access offers over 55 TV channels, including 10 high-definition sources, while DStv Family provides more than 60 TV channels. Both bouquets also offer a selection of audio channels that complement their value offerings.
Charity Njanji emphasised the importance of variety in the bouquets and how it forms the foundation of the DStv pay-TV service. Viewer feedback has indicated that the programming balance offered by these bouquets is well-received, encompassing news, educational content, children’s programming, sports, entertainment, and films.
Additionally, DStv has introduced a special decoder discount price until the end of March, ensuring that Zimbabwean viewers have easy access to the exciting content on offer. This discount is seen as a pre-Easter bonus for both existing and new viewers.
As the cooler months approach, Zimbabwean families can look forward to enriching their TV viewing experiences through the diverse range of bouquets offered by DStv.
With something to suit every budget and preference, DStv aims to provide quality entertainment for all viewers.
