In Harare, the police recently arrested two men for reportedly attacking Tongai Mafidi Mnangagwa, the deputy minister of Tourism and Hospitality, during a dispute over a parking space in the Avenues area on January 30.
The accused individuals, Antony Mwedziwendira (30) and Jaspa Cephas Kuziva (25), are also facing charges related to the illegal possession and distribution of dangerous drugs. They are expected to appear in court soon.
According to Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi, the alleged drugs seized during the arrests included 93 rods of skunk dagga, 179 sachets of dagga, 13 bottles of Bronchleer (each containing 100ml), 30 Pentra Sildenafil pills, 28 Cobra Sidenafil tablets, and various types of sex enhancers.
These arrests are part of the police’s ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking and substance abuse in the area.
