‘FAKE PROPHET’…Exposed woman demands US$ 800 she paid him

FAKE PROPHET, Exposed woman demands US$800 she paid him

A SELF-STYLED Budiriro prophet has been described as “FAKE” by a woman who paid him US$800 for a cleansing ceremony, in Buhera, which was never held.

Madzibaba Otto, whose real name is Brighton Rindayi, is the man who is in the firing line.

He is reported to have received US$800 from Grace Musarurwa promising to visit her village for a cleansing ceremony.

Madzibaba Otto, who is also from Buhera, did not turn up for the cleansing ceremony.

This forced Grace to invade his shrine, demanding her money back.

Madzibaba Otto told H-Metro he used the money and wanted to replace it with part of his property.

“She consulted me over her family issues and I agreed to visit her village for cleansing,” said Madzibaba Otto.

“I charged them US$800 for everything but I did not manage to visit their village because of pressure.

“At one time, they were also tied up and this prolonged the period, leading them to demand their money back.

“I do not refund people but, after discovering that we come from the same village, I agreed to refund them.

“She fumed and threatened to beat me up and I told her that I have a woman who can fight her on my behalf,” said Madzibaba Otto.

Grace accused Madzibaba Otto of faking prophecies for money.

“We had a family issue and after consulting Madzibaba Otto he charged us some money promising to visit our village in Buhera,” said Grace.

“He took too long to attend to our case and we later discovered that he had learnt from one of his followers that we come from the same village.

“We were not aware of that and I confronted him and he kept promising to help us until I was fed up with him.

“Upon visiting him at his shrine in Budiriro, he promised to pay back our money saying he was kept busy and was unable to do the cleansing. Some of his victims then informed us about the fake prophecies he makes for money.
