The 10th race of the 2024 Formula 1 season is coming up, and everyone is watching Max Verstappen and Red Bull Racing. The Spanish Grand Prix will take place at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Sunday, 23 June.

Verstappen won his sixth race of the season in Montreal, Canada, extending his lead in the Drivers’ Championship. He is now 56 points ahead of Charles Leclerc from Ferrari. The top five drivers also include Lando Norris (McLaren), Carlos Sainz Jr (Ferrari), and Sergio Perez (Red Bull).
Recently, Verstappen has faced tougher competition as other teams like Ferrari, McLaren, and Mercedes are getting faster. But the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya is a traditional track where Red Bull has been very strong earlier this season.
“We need to improve our car to make it easier to drive. I’m sure we’ll have both cars performing well again like at the start of the season,” said Verstappen. His teammate, Perez, has had trouble keeping up in the last few races.

McLaren drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri are also performing well and could challenge Ferrari and become Red Bull’s main rivals in the Constructors’ Championship. “We’ll keep pushing. One of our strengths is having two drivers who get the most out of the car every weekend,” said Norris.
Mercedes has also shown better performance recently, and team boss Toto Wolff is hopeful. “The important thing is to give the drivers a fast car. We’ve made real progress and are on the right track,” said Wolff.
