In a heartwarming tale of creativity and perseverance, the creators of the popular Team Paghetto animation, Ivan Bakke (Mike) and Jolly Japhat Nhambirwa (Reason), recently shared their inspiring journey to success with NR TV Zimbabwe.
“We started as a small project in 2014, born out of boredom and a passion for animation, has now grown into a YouTube sensation with over 200,000 followers.” Nhambirwa said
In an Interview with Nr Tv the duo’s humorous and relatable animations have captured the hearts of many, but their journey wasn’t without its challenges.
With no formal training or equipment, Bakke and Nhambirwa relied on their determination and resourcefulness to bring their ideas to life.

They used a cell phone to create their early animations, often learning from online tutorials and experimenting with different techniques.
Their big break came in 2018 when they released their first animations on YouTube.
Since then, their channel has grown exponentially, with fans praising their unique blend of humor and creativity.
The duo credits their success to their friendship, teamwork, and the power of online learning.
“YouTube is not just for watching videos; it’s also a university,” Bakke said, highlighting the importance of self-taught skills in their journey.
The characters in Team Paghetto are inspired by people they went to school with, adding a personal touch to their animations.
Despite their success, the duo remains humble and grateful for the support of their fans.
