Fully-Funded Rotary Peace Fellowships 2024-2025

Overview:

Rotary annually awards fully funded academic fellowships to up to 130 peace and development leaders worldwide. These fellowships enable recipients to pursue a Professional Development Certificate Program or a Masters Degree Program focusing on peace and conflict resolution and prevention. The programs are hosted by participating peace centers across the globe, including institutions in the USA, Japan, UK, Australia, Sweden, and Uganda.

  • International Christian University, Japan
  • University of Bradford, England
  • University of Queensland, Australia
  • Uppsala University, Sweden
  • Makerere University, Uganda

Study Level/Field: Professional Development Certificate Program or Master’s Degree Program in fields related to peace and conflict resolution and prevention.

Target Group: Global peace and development leaders with an undergraduate degree who meet the eligibility criteria.

Number of Scholarships: Up to 50 fellowships for master’s degrees and 80 for certificate studies are awarded annually.

Scholarship Value: The fellowships cover tuition and fees, room and board, round-trip transportation, and all internship and field-study expenses.

Eligibility: Applicants must have work experience in international development or peace and conflict prevention and resolution. Specific requirements include:

  • Three years of related work experience for the master’s program
  • Five years of related work experience for the certificate program
  • Proficiency in English
  • A bachelor’s degree
  • Leadership skills
  • Commitment to cross-cultural understanding and peace
