Fully Funded Scholarship Opportunity: IAS AIDS Conference on HIV Science 2024 in Munich, Germany
Applications are currently open for the IAS Conference on HIV Science Scholarship, offering a fully funded opportunity for individuals involved in the field of HIV. If you are at least 18 years old by 20 July 2024 and engaged in work, volunteer activities, or studies related to HIV, you are invited to apply for a scholarship to attend AIDS 2024, the 25th International AIDS Conference, scheduled to take place in Munich, Germany, and virtually from 22 to 26 July. The scholarship also covers attendance at the AIDS 2024 pre-conferences occurring on 20 and 21 July at the conference venue.
Requirements: Priority will be given to the following candidates:
- Abstract presenters; workshop facilitators and co-facilitators; Global Village organizers and co-organizers with selected submissions for the conference.
- Applicants from low-income and middle-income countries.
- Applicants representing key populations or individuals living with HIV.
- Young people and junior investigators under the age of 35.
- Individuals who have not previously received a scholarship for an International AIDS Conference.

In-person Attendance:
- Registration for in-person plus virtual attendance (access to all sessions at the conference venue and virtual platform).
- Travel support (pre-paid economy class return ticket from the nearest international airport in your country of residence) for the conference and pre-conferences.
- Accommodation (single room in a budget hotel) for the duration of the conference and pre-conferences.
- Daily living allowance for the conference and pre-conferences.
Virtual Attendance:
- Registration for virtual attendance (full online access to all hybrid conference sessions).
- Accessibility support for virtual attendance (subject to the connectivity needs of selected candidates).
Timeline:
- 23 January 2024: Submission deadline.
- February/March 2024: Review and selection.
- Early April 2024: Announcement of results.
How to Apply: Eligible candidates must answer questions regarding their background, experience, and motivation to attend the conference. Additionally, they should upload a letter of recommendation, meeting the specified criteria, and supporting their scholarship application. The application deadline is 23 January 2024, 23:59 CET.
