Since October 2023, the region and the world have faced an unprecedented risk of escalation, driven by Israel’s ongoing military actions in Gaza, the West Bank, and Lebanon, with backing from certain global powers.
These actions have violated ethical, humanitarian, and military boundaries, as well as international law.
The escalation continues largely due to the absence of accountability for Israel’s actions, repeated violations of international law, and the resulting impunity.
This situation has intensified tensions, pushing the region to the edge of crisis and increasing the potential for far-reaching regional and international consequences.

Israel’s military campaign in Gaza has led to severe humanitarian losses. In the last 24 hours alone, Israeli forces have reportedly killed at least 60 Palestinians in Khan Yunis, with the overall death toll from the conflict rising to 41,638, including a high number of women and children.
Additionally, 96,359 people have been injured.
The State of Palestine calls for urgent intervention from the UN Security Council to stop Israeli aggression and hold its leadership accountable for alleged war crimes.
With the lack of enforcement of Security Council resolutions, Palestine stresses the need for decisive action and potential sanctions against Israel.
