WINKY D and GEMMA reunite on stage at a show dubbed “Braai Mugarden” in Emerald Hill on May 28.
Their act would be one of their few dates since their memorable performance at HICC in 2019.
They once performed together at the OK Grand Challenge.
The Braai Mugarden gig will be powered by Chipaz Promotions.
Chipaz Promotions boss, Patson Chimbodza, said the gig would be one of their major highlights to mark the return of entertainment, after the relaxation of the lockdown rules.
“It would be great to have this show since people were hungry for entertainment,” he said.
“Lockdown had stalled many things in the entertainment sector.
“Having Winky D and Gemma is a great experience since they once made a scorcher of a collaboration.”
Chipaz said there will be strict enforcement of Covid-19 regulations during the show.
“We also want to be responsible as we hold these gigs. We will make sure the revellers strictly observe Covid-19 regulations.
“It’s important because we want to make sure we continue entertaining people, without more cases sprouting as a result of irresponsible behaviour.
“We promise people that they will have a great entertainment day as the Gafa will do what he knows best and we also have a good line up of DJs.”
DJ Ashstylz, DJ Made Her Believe, Andile Brown, among others, are also set to perform at Braai Mugarden.
