Guitar Sangoma excited to be back home

Talented guitarist Sylent Nqo, who won big at the recently ended World Championships for Performing Arts (WCOPA) touched down at Harare International Airport Tuesday evening.
Guitar Sangoma, as he is popularly known won three gold and three silver medals in the various instrumentalist categories which he took part in.
He also won a crystal trophy for being the overall instrumentalist winner as he emerged the best instrumentalist at the competition.
During an interview at the airport, Sylent was ecstatic with his success at such a prestigious competition.
“I can’t even explain how I am feeling right now but I am so happy to have represented my country well at such a big competition,” said Sylent.
“Winning these medals is proof enough that we have great talent in the country and I got to prove it on the international stage.”
He also was also full of praises for his compatriots who also managed to shine when it mattered most.
“The fact that it was not just me who managed to excel is amazing because two of my teammates Probeatz and Timothy Hogo also grabbed medals,” he said.
He said the experience had led him to another dimension of his career by exposing him to other talented artistes.
“There were a lot of other talented artistes at this competition from all over the world and being able to compete among such and actually winning is surely a boost to my career,” he said.
The other Zimbabweans who got silverware were Probeatz who won five gold medals in the beat boxing and dance categories while Hogo won gold, silver and bronze medals in the modelling category.
