The Gwanda Gospel Festival roared to life on Friday the 1st of September 2017 ending the following Sunday at Pelandaba Stadium in Gwanda with explosive and soulful music from the South African famous worshippers Hlengiwe and Soli Mahlangu the following Saturday.
The third edition of the festival which was being hosted by Gwanda born and bred business tycoon Justice Maphosa is the brains behind this biggest gospel fest if not the only ever thrown in Zimbabwe.
Besides the music the Gwanda people were treated to ten minutes of firework display and more music from South African artists and the Gwanda based Judith.
The festival was be officially opened by the vice president Honorable Phelekezela Mphoko on Saturday followed by more music from Zim PPraise 
and the main act Dr Oliver Mtukudzi and lots more artists.
Soli Mahlangu closed the event with a powerful sermon that he preached at Maphosa’s childhood church Brethren in Christ Church and some soulful music from gospel guru Takesure Zamar and saxophonist Denzel.
