Handiende!!! Tshabangu Rejects Suspension by CCC “Interim Steering Committee”
Sengezo Tshabangu has vehemently opposed his suspension from the role of “interim secretary-general” of the CCC party by his former associates, asserting that he does not align with the faction.
In an interview with The Herald, Tshabangu stated that his faction is prepared to take legal action against individuals and political entities that misuse the party’s name and logo, particularly those featuring Nelson Chamisa’s image, without proper authorization. Tshabangu remarked:
“I do not belong to that faction, so this suspension holds no weight. We are prepared to take legal action against anyone who uses the party’s name and logo without consent from the leadership. We have duly registered both, and once the deeds office formally advertises and publishes these articles, it will mark the end for many.”

Last week, a CCC faction, previously in collaboration with Tshabangu, announced his suspension, citing his alleged absence from meetings and association with a faction led by Welshman Ncube and Jacob Mafume.
CCC’s self-appointed interim steering committee, chaired by former Entumbane-Njube MP Dingilizwe Tshuma, clarified that their primary objective was not to dismantle the CCC but to address concerns regarding the imposition of candidates during the August 2023 general elections.
The committee overseeing the CCC comprises Tshuma as chair, Mhlanga (former Pumula MP and Bulawayo deputy mayor) as deputy chair, Tshabangu as secretary-general, Khaliphani Phugeni handling information, Sikhululekile Moyo as interim chairperson for women, Nomvula Mguni (former proportional representation MP), Mbuso Siso as treasurer, and Benoni Ncube representing the youth.
In a statement, interim deputy chairperson Albert Mhlanga announced Tshabangu’s suspension and emphasized that Ncube does not hold the leadership position within the CCC; Tshuma does.
