A Harare businessman, Tafadzwa Martin Munyawarara, has been found guilty of defrauding a client of $48,000 in a failed mobile toilet import deal.
Magistrate Munashe Banda ruled that the prosecution had successfully presented a strong case against Munyawarara.
According to prosecutors Tafara Chirambira and Takudzwa Jambawo, Munyawarara falsely assured complainant Mandy Mvukwe that he could facilitate the importation of mobile toilets on her behalf.

Trusting his claim, Mvukwe handed over the $48,000 payment. However, the promised toilets were never delivered.
During the trial, Munyawarara admitted to receiving the money but failed to provide any justification for the missing funds, leading to his conviction.
