Has Cindy lost her roar?

Miskill: Cindy failed to meet her own standards with new track

Has Cindy lost her roar?

By Own Correspondent

Having started off the year with a lot of questions with her new single Mubvunzo back in March, Cindy’s 2016 has been too quiet for her standards.

Many have probably been wondering where the RnB singer was and questioning if she had dumped music to pursue a career in the fashion industry as she is seemingly doing well at her joint, Cindy’s Fashion Corner.

She had promised fans that by end of March she would have dropped her brand new album but to date no album has come out.

The singer finally dropped something fresh on Thursday, a new single titled Dai accompanied by its video.

However, the standard of artistry is by far below what Cindy is capable of delivering.

It’s not the type of material to expect from a seasoned vocalist and inaugural AFRIMA award-winning artiste.

Cindy was failing to articulate her notes and thus the song lacks that solid, high pitched vocal dexterity she is known for.

Secondly, the song is meandering into too many directions, poorly written track that just made singing difficult for Cindy.

The video is not helping the already shallow track. The script is not well put together making the end product look empty.

Credit for good angles and sound to the crew behind the scenes. Quality was also on point but nowadays the majority have HD cameras so we can’t really make much noise about it.

Overally it’s a bad day in the office for Cindy and her team. She has the potential to shake the nation and we hope her next product will get the nation in a frenzy just like she used to do back in the day.
