High Court Dismisses Ncube’s Bid to Block Tshabangu’s Leadership Changes

Uzumba Rape Scandal

High Court Judge Justice Neville Wamambo has dismissed Welshman Ncube’s bid to enforce an earlier court ruling that barred Sengezo Tshabangu from unilaterally restructuring the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) parliamentary leadership.

Last month, the High Court ruled against Tshabangu’s authority to alter the party’s parliamentary positions. However, Tshabangu challenged the decision in the Supreme Court. In response, Ncube’s faction sought permission to enforce the ruling while the appeal was still pending.

This week, Justice Wamambo rejected Ncube’s application, stating:

“After reviewing the documents on record and hearing arguments from counsel, it is ordered that the application is dismissed, with the applicant (Prof Ncube) responsible for the legal costs of the first (Sen Tshabangu) and third (Mlotshwa) respondents.”

Meanwhile, Ncube has summoned Tshabangu for a disciplinary hearing set for tomorrow. Tshabangu is accused of making unilateral changes to CCC’s parliamentary leadership, a move Ncube’s faction claims was unauthorized and unlawful.
