A legal controversy has emerged as ZIMASCO has accused High Court Judge Justice Joel Mambara of being involved in an alleged scheme to unlawfully take over control of the chrome smelting company.
In a formal complaint addressed to the Judicial Services Commission (JSC), ZIMASCO’s CEO, John Musekiwa, detailed concerns over Mambara’s handling of a corporate rescue order.

According to Musekiwa, the judge granted the order in favour of businessman Shepard Tundiya without ZIMASCO being notified or given a chance to respond.
“The Honourable Judge could not have rectified his ruling without the involvement of the affected parties,” Musekiwa argued in the letter, dated March 21.
The allegations have sparked widespread debate, raising questions about judicial conduct and corporate governance in Zimbabwe.
