The Johannesburg High Court has ruled that South African entertainer Denise Zimba must return her two daughters to Germany, siding with her estranged husband, Jakob Schlichtig.
The verdict, delivered on Friday, requires that the children, aged 19 months and 5 years, be sent back to their father’s home country.
The decision follows allegations that Zimba unlawfully kept them in South Africa, violating the Hague Convention on International Child Abduction.

Schlichtig, a German citizen, claimed that Zimba had taken the children without his permission, effectively cutting them off from their life in Germany.
The court agreed, emphasising that separating them from their father could cause significant emotional harm.
Zimba, however, accused Schlichtig of infidelity, alleging he had an affair with her long-time friend, Mpumi Mdluli. She also claimed that he prioritised his pet cat over their family’s well-being.
