Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a deplorable speech to the US Congress that was full of lies and hate speech. Ambassador Tamer Almassri denounced the speech, which exposed Netanyahu’s hypocrisy and double standards about the massacre that apartheid Israel committed in Gaza.
Netanyahu accused the progressive countries and demonstrators who have supported the Palestinian people of being anti-Semitic.
Israel is shamelessly obstructing efforts to bring about peace and stability in the area by disobeying UN Security Council resolutions calling for an immediate cease-fire. Netanyahu, the fascist leader of Israel, cannot escape responsibility for his war crimes or avoid being held accountable to international law with his persuasive words, deceit, or charisma.
The US needs to understand that it is accountable for the crimes against the Palestinian people due to its unquestioning support of the Israeli occupation state, which includes giving it money, weapons, and political backing while opposing international legitimacy.
We are grateful for the global demonstrations in support of the Palestinian people and the more than fifty US legislators who abstained from Netanyahu’s meaningless speech that puts the future of peace in the area in jeopardy.

The world needs to force Netanyahu’s government to stop its aggression against the Palestinian people if it is genuinely interested in achieving security and peace in the area. The Palestinian people are determined to establish an independent state of Palestine with Jerusalem as its capital. They will not abandon their homeland and will keep using all legal measures to oppose the Israeli occupation.
In the meantime, tens of thousands of Palestinian civilians are being forcibly relocated, and as a result of the intense and violent occupation raids, there are catastrophic humanitarian and medical conditions. The Israeli occupation army is committing systematic and repeated crimes against civilians, including killing, mass massacres, starvation, preventing humanitarian aid, forced displacement, and the destruction of properties, especially on eastern Khan Yunis.
The Palestinian death toll from Israel’s deadly aggression against the Gaza Strip has now surged to 39,145.
