Musician Nesto Manandi has treated his fans to a summer special with the release of a hot single titled Bidibiba.
Released last week, the high tempo beat is a fusion of the original guitar, mbira rhythms cushioned with mbakumba to give it an Afro fusion feel.
The song is a follow up to his hit song Ngala Ngala which made waves on radio and at parties due to the fast paced instrumentation.
It features silky voiced Taurai Mandebvu making it ”the best of both worlds”.
In an interview with Showbiz Nesto said the single was his summer gift to his loyal fans.
“This single is my gift to my loyal fans for summer and they can enjoy the beat in the summer time affair.
Bidibiba is just part of the execution of my music and it defines kurira kwengoma dzangu (my sound),” said Nesto.
He also revealed that the video to the single was on pre-production stage.
Bidibiba was produced by high flying producer DJ Tamuka in a collaborative effort between Kenako Music and Mnandi Music which is his label.
Nesto also said he has several singles to be released soon.
The tall and lanky musician is no stranger to making hit as he has several hits under his belt to back up the assertion .among them My Chocolate and Wandipengesa.
He has also done successful collaborations with the likes of Plaxedes Wenyika-Joka, Sanii Makhalima and Alexio Kawara.
Nesto is part of the first crop of musicians that benefited from Professor Jonathan Moyo’s 75 percent local content legislation back in the early 2000.
His league includes the likes of Roki, Pastor G, David Chifunyise, Decibel, Roy and Royce, Ex Q, Alexio, the late NME , Ngoni Kambarami, Dino Mudondo and Willom Tight among others.
He was part of the original Shamiso Productions with Gilbert Muvavarirwa and Delani Makhalima and is still affiliated to the record label to date.
The entrance of Shamiso Productions changed the game of local music which was dominated by the sungura genre.
Apart from music, Nesto is also passionate about soccer where he has begged several accolades.
