The two, who will share the stage at the much-hyped “Joeboy Live in Harare Concert” have embraced the Nigerian star, event organisers.
Takura, King 98, Langton B, Enjoyment 5.0 and DJ Klique are also part of the supporting cast for the 23-year-old star at the show set for Borrowdale Racecourse on April 17.
Infinity Sky Entertainment is behind the bash set to usher revellers into Independence Day in style.
“JoeBoy is one of the finest artists doing well on African soil at the moment and we do welcome him to Zimbabwe as one of us,” Jah Prayzah told H-Metro, through his manager, Keen Mushapaidze.
“It’s also a big show where fans expect a lot from us and we are prepared for this event.”
Although Jah Prayzah hasn’t worked with Joeboy before, his camp said it was open for a collaboration.
“We can always collaborate with anyone as long as the time permits. Joeboy is one of the artistes we would like to do business with in future depending on what is agreed between the two camps,” said Mushapaidze.
Similar sentiments were echoed by Takura’s manager, Mike Rich, who is determined to exchange notes with the Show Me hit-maker.
“Joeboy’s crowd is the same crowd for Takura, so we are looking forward to a great show.
“Given a chance, we would be comfortable to sit him down and see what we can do together in terms of a collabo.
“Joeboy is one of the finest artists we would like to work with,” said Rich.
King 98 has collaborated with some of the continent’s biggest names.
“He has been in touch with most of Africa’s finest artists to forge alliances and we would like to see the same happening between him and Joeboy,” said King 98’s manager, DJ Simmz.
Show coordinator Collin Manyore of Infinity Sky Entertainment said it was all systems go.
“We have done all the ground work to ensure that the gig goes according to plan after the Covid-19 induced lockdown affected a lot of shows last year.
“Initially, this show was set for December 21 last year but could not take place due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
“We are happy that this is the first time Joeboy will perform in Zimbabwe and what raises the appeal of the show is that he will perform on Independence Eve.
“The objective of the show is to celebrate African talent and promote unity,” he said.
Added Manyore: “We do expect Joeboy to arrive on April 17 in the morning ahead of the show. He will be coming from Zambia where he is also on tour.
“We urge fans to purchase advance tickets to avoid the last minute rush.”
Joeboy is enjoying rave reviews around the world.
