Members of the Johanne Masowe Church were seen conducting a prayer ritual at a busy intersection in Chitungwiza, leaving passersby shocked and puzzled.
Eyewitnesses reported that the church members, dressed in their traditional white robes, gathered at the intersection and began praying and singing hymns.

The ritual, which lasted for over an hour, caused a stir among motorists and pedestrians who couldn’t help but wonder what was happening.
“I was shocked to see them praying in the middle of the road,” said Mumbai, a local resident.
“Did they get police clearance first?”

Others took to social media to express their disbelief, with RaePae commenting, “This is some weird shit,” and Chisanga labeling the church members as “witches.”

This latest incident has raised questions about the church’s adherence to public regulations and respect for other people’s beliefs.
When approached for comment, church officials defended their actions, stating that they were simply exercising their freedom of religion.
“We were praying for the community and seeking God’s blessings,” Madzibaba Abraham said.
“We didn’t mean to cause any disturbance.”
However, local authorities have vowed to investigate the incident and determine whether the church members had the necessary permits to hold the ritual in a public space.
