Jameson Timba, the interim head of the opposition Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC), and the 77 activists who are presently being held in jail will now know their fate on Wednesday, since the court has once again postponed the decision, stating that the verdict is “0 percent complete.”
Due to the State’s tardiness in filing its written arguments, the magistrate decided to postpone making a decision last week.
Timba and associates are requesting release following the State’s recent closure of its case.
They will not face any charges if their application is approved.
The opposition activists have filed a request to be released, claiming the State has not been able to provide sufficient evidence.

On suspicion of unlawful gathering, the group was detained more than two months ago while having “a private meeting” at Timba’s Avondale home.
They are also charged with disruptive conduct; according to the State, they threw stones at the policemen who arrested them.
The activists have been incarcerated because the lower and higher courts refused to grant them bail. They recently concluded a hurried trial in which they refuted the accusations. Jameson Timba
