"Kanoenda Masikati Machena": Wicknell Chivayo Shuts Down Makandiwa’s US$1 Million Prophecy Challenge

Businessman Wicknell Chivayo has responded to Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa’s bold challenge directed at other prophets and traditional healers.

Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa’s Challenge to Prophets and Healers

On Sunday, 2 March, during a church service, Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa issued a daring challenge to other prophets and traditional healers.

He invited them to attend his church the following Sunday and correctly guessed what was in his pocket. To sweeten the offer, he pledged a US$1 million reward to anyone who could do so.

The challenge quickly caught attention, especially after entertainment blog ZimCelebs shared a video of Makandiwa’s statement on Instagram.

Wicknell Chivayo’s Response

Wicknell Chivayo, known for his flamboyant business persona and his membership in the Johane Masowe Chishanu apostolic sect, responded to the video in the comments section.

Chivayo dismissed Makandiwa’s challenge, humorously claiming that if he brought prophets from his church to participate, the US$1 million would be gone in no time.

However, he emphasised that they would not be taking part in the challenge as their beliefs do not align with using spiritual powers for such worldly competitions.

He went on to stress that there was no need to prove their spiritual gifts, as they already possess the Holy Spirit. Chivayo’s comment read:

“Papa, if I bring the young prophets from Masowe, that US$1 million will be gone in a flash.

But we will not participate because we were taught not to use the power of God for worldly games.

There is no need to prove we have the Holy Spirit in Masowe. You will testify yourselves if you haven’t already acknowledged it.”
