One of the women featured in the leaked intimate videos of Equatorial Guinea politician Baltasar Ebang Engonga has reportedly died by suicide.
The woman, whose identity remains private, was reportedly devastated after recognizing herself in the footage that recently went viral on social media. She was one of several women recorded in the videos, allegedly created by Baltasar Ebang Engonga, the high-ranking director of Equatorial Guinea’s National Financial Investigation Agency (ANIF).
According to reports, the intense public scrutiny and backlash surrounding the scandal deeply impacted her mental health, ultimately leading to her death. Other women in the videos are said to be struggling with severe stress, with some reportedly seeking safety in hiding or taking antidepressants to cope with the aftermath.
