Livingstone Sunhwa's post-mortem results do not show cause of death

Livingstone Sunhwa’s family has reported that the post-mortem results of the remains discovered in Tsonzo do not show the cause of death. Sunhwa was a student at St. Mathias Tsonzo who went missing.

Sylvia Paunganwa, a spokeswoman for the family, stated that although DNA testing are still being done, the results of the post-mortem revealed no cause of death.

The release of the post-mortem results is the only indication of improvement to date.

“But they said that the condition of the remains and the passage of time made it difficult to determine the cause of death.

“The DNA testing have not yet been made public.

“We also want to express our gratitude to everyone who gave us financial support for DNA testing.

“We are happy to let you know that the State covered the cost of the DNA tests.

That is all we have to say at this time.

The remains, which some say to be those of Livingstone, were discovered beside a riverbed close to St. Mathias Tsonzo High School.

Close family members and the Livingstone family were informed that the death might have been the result of suicide since a string made of cloth and shoelace was discovered tied to a tree along the stream where the remains were discovered.

The family, however, has publicly said that they do not subscribe to the suicide notion.

Having positively identified Livingstone’s items that were discovered at the scene, including the shoes, Gucci belt, and white vest, they are also confident that the remains are those of Livingstone.

After breaking into a school tuck shop and stealing goods that were later recovered, Livingstone was detained.

He was released by the police into the care of his headmaster to sit his last O’ Level test on December 5 and then vanished on December 6.
