Lt Gen. (Retired) Anselem Sanyatwe has officially assumed the role of Minister of Sports, Recreation, Arts, and Culture following a swearing-in ceremony held at State House in Harare on Thursday.
The ceremony was presided over by President Emmerson Mnangagwa, marking Sanyatwe’s transition from his previous role as Commander of the Zimbabwe National Army to a key ministerial position.
Sanyatwe steps into the position previously held by Dr Kirsty Coventry, who recently vacated the post after being elected as president of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
