A self-proclaimed prophet, Madzibaba Jalel Munondinzwei (22), from Johanne Masowe yeMuchinjikwa, is reportedly on the run after being accused of sodomizing two 12-year-old boys at his shrine in Hatfield.
According to Harare provincial police spokesperson Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, Madzibaba Munondinzwei allegedly committed the heinous acts at his shrine along Chiremba Road.
“On December 23, 2023, Madzibaba was reported to have taken two boys aged 12 to his shrine. Madzibaba showed the two minors a pornographic video at the shrine during the night.

At around 3 am, Madzibaba was reported to have sodomized one of the boys and later the other one in a tent. The two boys reported the matter to Madzibaba’s assistant and their mother, and a police report was lodged,” explained Insp Chakanza.
Sources revealed that Munondinzwei fled to Marondera, where he was seen conducting prayers. However, a vigilant resident informed the police, leading to his arrest. Nonetheless, Munondinzwei managed to escape when the arresting officers stopped their vehicle to relieve themselves.
