Rapper Megan Thee Stallion has officially confirmed her relationship with NBA player Klay Thompson, making their public debut as a couple at her Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala on July 16.
Held in New York City, the gala marked Megan’s first benefit event in honour of her late parents, Holly Thomas and Joseph Pete III. The foundation supports initiatives in education, housing, and healthcare.
Megan, 30, appeared on the red carpet in a sleek black gown accented with a shimmering asymmetrical belt, while Thompson accompanied her in a classic black tuxedo.
Speaking to Page Six, the Grammy-winning artist, whose real name is Megan Pete, praised Thompson’s character, calling the relationship unlike any she’s had before. “This is my first relationship where I’ve ever been with somebody who’s genuinely a nice person, and he makes me genuinely happy,” she said. “I’m just grateful that he’s here by my side and he feels the same way about me.”
The couple had been the subject of speculation earlier this month after fans noticed suggestive posts on social media. Megan shared vacation photos featuring an unidentified man, while Thompson later posted images that included a woman — believed to be Megan — with her back turned to the camera.
Social media users quickly connected the dots, expressing support for the pairing across platforms.
This is Megan’s first publicly confirmed relationship since her 2023 split from rapper Pardison “Pardi” Fontaine. She has previously been linked to artists including Tory Lanez and Moneybagg Yo.
