Arguably one of South Africa’s best live performing groups Micasa is set to return to Zimbabwe where they will perform on August 5 at Bulawayo’s Ampi Theatre.
The trio which is currently in the studio with Wizkid will bring the city to life with the help of opening acts such as Bulawayo based Guluva 7, award winning Dj Stavo, Mzoe 7, Victor Bravo and Alaina striking the much needed gender balance.
Speaking in an interview with the host entertainment company representative, Clint Robinson said: “We are looking forward to filling up Ampi Theatre and ticket sales have already started.”
Advance tickets are already on sale at selected joints and are pegged at $15 and $25 for ordinary entry and VIP respectively. Entry on the day of the show will be for a steeper fee with ordinary entry at $20 and VIP at $30.
Tickets can be found in Bulawayo at Brooks Café, Food 4 Less, Quick Cash, Eden Club, M-EAT and Sopranos in Harare.
Barely three days since tickets went on sale at least 36% of the VIP tickets have been sold, the organisers estimate the VIP tickets will be sold out on the day of the show.
Lucky fans will get a chance to interact with the South Africans through a selfie challenge which is run by the event organisers, C&A Entertainment & X-MO SQUAD.
In the challenge revellers are expected to post their selfies with their tickets to the show under the hash tag #MiCasaUnlockAfrica on the event page on Facebook.
Ampi Theatre has a capacity of 2000 and is one of the biggest venues available in the second city of Zimbabwe.
MiCasa has a unique house music sound that has constantly landed them on music charts and seen them touring the world.
The trio is made up of Duda who plays piano and produces the music, Mo-T who plays the trumpet that is one of their sound’s signature and their lead vocalist and guitarist J Something.
