Mike Moyo, also known as Sikhulumo Mathe, has been accused of orchestrating a disturbing scheme where he lures young girls from rural Zimbabwe with false promises of employment in South Africa, only to rape and sexually abuse them.
The case was brought to light when one of his victims reported him at the Western Commonage Police Station in Bulawayo.
A survivor bravely shared her harrowing experience at the hands of Mike, describing how she and another young girl were raped by him and his associates.
“It was in September 2009, and he was with other friends who I strongly believe all work together,” she recounted. “The whole thing was a set-up… Moyo did terrible things to us in just one night, things that when I think of, I cry.”
Expressing her anguish, she directed her words to Mike, saying, “I curse you and your entire family.”

Mike Moyo, who identifies himself as a prophet, has allegedly exploited vulnerable girls for over 15 years, using false promises to lure them across the border where he subjects them to sexual abuse.
Denying the accusations, Mike claimed innocence, attributing the allegations to disgruntled ex-girlfriends.
However, Deputy Minister of Higher and Tertiary Education, Simelisizwe Sibanda, demanded Mike’s arrest, highlighting the gravity of the accusations and calling for swift legal action.
In Parliament, Deputy Minister Sibanda emphasized the need to hold Mike accountable for his actions, stating that he has been preying on vulnerable individuals for many years.
MP Discent Bajila echoed these sentiments, urging increased efforts to combat gender-based violence and calling for the law to be enforced against perpetrators like Mike.
