Mudhara Vachauya Release Alert:
Background: – Jah Prayzah needs no introduction, the artiste recently blew local You Tube records with the video of Watora Mari, a video that features Tanzanian star Diamond Platinumz. Analyst have suggested that the video only reached such a feat because of the “Diamond factor”.
With that in mind the video of Mdara Vachauya will be a stern measure to the artiste following on You Tube. Barely 24 hours after its release, the video seats almost at 70 000 views and so far looks set to emulate the fete by Watora Mari which reached 200000 hits in its first two days.
Yet still by any measure 70000 in the first day is an amazing feat given that some local videos are far off, with Stunners Inna me Head which features Jamaican Sir Ford has only 13497 views two weeks after it was uploaded.
Sir Ford’s Zimbabwean recorded Babylon which coincidently features Jah Prayzah’s longtime friend and wingman, Mabla 10 is on 3539 views in two weeks.
Our Thoughts: – While many were waiting for a Monaco shot video, the artiste changed the script and duly explained that he felt the video in Monaco was not in line with his vision forcing him to settle for a setting in South Africa.
Rich colour combinations in the video is pleasure to the eye and it is completed by the costumes and other highlights in the video, the quality of the video speaks volumes of the investment on the project and it seems the gamble that paid off.
While the story outlines a love story of a soldier at the warfront assuring his lover that he would return; the acting did not do justice to the storyline. Battle field action is lacking and there seems be overuse of the musician’s army fatigues.
The end also lacks the spark and romance that is characteristic of reuniting partners.
Inspection of the guard of honor seems out of place as it gives in to the closing scene that shows the reunion and dilutes the drama; the running, hugging and well a lot of emotions.
But again, these are just our thoughts.
