Ranziwe J. and Ijiwenzi B. Muvuti, brothers from the same family, fought against each other in the Korean Ambassador’s Cup 2024 finals, competing for gold medals at Belvedere Teachers College.
Ranziwe J., the older brother, won the gold medal against his younger brother.
All seven members of Mr. Givenore Muvuti’s family, students of the same instructor who is also their father, received medals, showcasing his dedication and hard work in Taekwondo. This is a historic achievement his family medalist include:
Nekispiyu-J Muvuti: silver medal in the seniors -58kg category
Obaneshiy Muvuti-48KGS SENIOR GIRLS SILVER MEDAL
Ekranchimiyo Cee Muvuti: gold medal in the juniors males -45kg category
Eshilonzi Aee Muvuti: gold medal in the cadets females -37kg category
Ranziwe J. Muvuti: gold medal in the pre-cadets males category
Ijiwenzi B. Muvuti: silver medal in the pre-cadets males category
Leshiwenzi Eee Muvuti: gold medal in the children’s males category

Instructor Muvuti teaches his children Taekwondo for self-defense, enabling them to protect themselves and increasing their respect in society.
President of Taekwondo Zimbabwe, Mr. Benson Zwizwai, also commented on Mr. Muvuti and his children, “I thank you, Instructor Muvuti, and your family for putting in so much effort and hard work, helping us to promote Taekwondo into a better sport in Zimbabwe.”
“It is not easy for members of one family to be crowned as medalists in such competitions. All the way from Chivhu, you have made history in Taekwondo. This is a remarkable story, and I thank you,” he said.
In an interview with Showbiz Givemore Muvuti said, “Besides training my children Taekwondo, I am also working on a documentary about a girl I trained who became an elite black belt after being impregnated at the age of 13 in Nkayi District, Matebeleland North, where I run another club.”

“Nastirai Natsirai, a young girl from Epworth, also won medals at the Korean Ambassador’s Cup. She works together with her parents, putting in much effort and contributing to her success. We also give much credit to her instructor, Willard Kashiri, in Epworth, who is supporting her,” Mr. Zwizwai stated.
