Police Launch Manhunt for Suspect Blessed Geza Runesu, Alias ‘Bombshell’

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has issued a public appeal for information regarding the whereabouts of Blessed Geza Runesu, also known as “Bombshell,” who is wanted in connection with multiple criminal charges.

According to a statement released by the police, Runesu is facing four serious charges, including theft, undermining the authority of the President, and incitement to commit public violence.

The charges against him include:

  • Theft (Section 113 of the Criminal Law Codification and Reform Act, Chapter 9:23): The suspect allegedly stole and unlawfully disposed of three vehicles without the owner’s consent.
  • Two counts of Undermining the Authority of or Insulting the President (Section 33(2)(a)(ii) of the Criminal Law Codification and Reform Act, Chapter 9:23).
  • Incitement to Commit Public Violence (Section 187 of the Criminal Law Codification and Reform Act, Chapter 9:23).

Law enforcement officials have warned that anyone found assisting or harboring the suspect to evade arrest will also face legal consequences.

Members of the public with any relevant information are urged to contact the National Complaints Desk at (0242) 703631 or send a tip-off via WhatsApp at 0712 800197.

Authorities have reiterated their commitment to bringing the suspect to justice and have called on citizens to cooperate in ensuring his apprehension.
