New talk show on the cards
By Showbiz Writer
Zimbabwean showbiz website Showbiz has announced the birth of a new dialogue platform Showbiz Talk that will be launched in the coming month.
Making the announcement on the site’s Facebook page, Silence Charumbira, the editor said the new platform would bring together artistes to discuss various topics that concern their craft.
He said the program will also be a chance for corporates and different organisations that need to push different programs and initiatives to the public through artistes to engage.
“More interestingly, we have exciting new programs coming and one of them is Showbiz Talk, a brand new and unique artistes’ dialogue platform. This will bring you your celebrity artistes engaging on different topics of interest,” reads part of the post.
“Organisations/companies that have initiatives and programs that they want to push; this is your platform.”
In a separate interview Charumbira said the program would act as a bridge between artistes themselves and also between artistes and different publics.
“There is a lot that we can achieve as a sector if we dialogue enough. We are missing a lot of chances. Corporates have been yearning to engage but sometimes they shy away because they see a lacking element and we can easily deal with that through dialogue,” he said.
He said although the actual sates are yet to be announced, they intended to broadcast the program online before they can engage different television stations.
“We are working with different partners among them Jibilika to come up with a flawless product. This will be a unique initiative and we are confident the market will love it and in a few months it should be yielding favourable results,” he said.
Showbiz is an online magazine that covers Zimbabwean art and lifestyle in a holistic perspective irrespective of class.
