Saturday 18 May saw the launch of Culture Week National Launch at Glamis Arena where different players in Arts Exhibited their different talents such as crafts, dance and music which was officially opened by President ED Mnangagwa.
World Choir Games silver medalists Note2Eton led by director Sabelo Nyoni introduced a new rendition to the national anthem. They sang it accompanied by a mbira rythm which send chilled thrills under the skin. They diversified the song by singing th first verse in Shona, shifting to Ndebele on the first verse ending the song in English on the last.
The audience was left almost breathless after such singing in honor of the motherland. They showed their awe by applauding the Note2etoN. With such singing there is hope and confidence that Note2etoN will bring the country gold this time around at the 2020 Flanders World Choir Games in Belgium.
Kessia Muchaneta Magosha accompanied by Wanai and Ammi Jamanda also delivered a fabulous act which shames all who do not engage local female musicians for major events. The three divas left a memorable mark which will never br erased in the entertainment arena.
Musician’s association president Edith WeuTonga and his team together with the Women in Music were part of the exhibitors.
